The 4” Channeled Basic Body Package features a 3” chopped/filled roof, with either a fixed windshield/filled cowl or a functional windshield/functional cowl. It also features a recessed ribbed firewall that can be adjusted during construction for additional engine clearance. The doors are hung using either stock type exposed hinges or hidden hinges. The hidden hinges utilize brass bushings for years of quiet, smooth and trouble free operation. You have the choice of power or manual window packages. The dash is a smooth/filled style and comes with an installed dash bar. These bodies are manufactured from molds that are dedicated strictly to producing a channeled version of our 32 5-Window. One of the best features of this body is the fiberglass inner structure system. This system includes multiple components that are bonded to the interior to add both strength and appearance. This feature comes standard in our bodies where other companies charge hundreds of dollars extra for such features.
STANDARD FEATURES:

Bonded Double Wall Construction: With use of a fiberglass inner structure system the multiple panels are bonded in place to fully reinforce the body. Because the panels are constructed of fiberglass they will bond to the exterior shell to create a finished interior. They also give easy attaching points for the upholstery. Some customers even drive the car with only our inner structure in place.

Handlay Construction: We utilize handlay construction on all exterior parts to help control the resin to mat ratio and make a more constituencies limited.

ISO Blended Resins: We use the highest quality materials available to us to help produce fiberglass parts that will stand the high surface temps and stresses that a street rod body will see.

Removable Glass Units: These units are put in the fiberglass bodies where applicable. They make it possible to quickly remove the glass and hardware to allow for painting as well as adding additional components such as door poppers, glass sweepers, etc...

Superior Door Bonding Design: This door design ensures that the doors are not just bonded on the outer perimeter edge but are also bonded in the middle and along the the area around the door glass.

CAD/CNC Machined/Sheet Metal Parts: With the use of computer aided design parts compatibility is ensured.

Construction Versatility: Some of our optional features allow the use of some of "Henry's" cool ideas such as functional windshield, functional cowls and rumble lids. We can also adjust the firewall during construction to accommodate some of the larger engines that are currently being used.

Smooth Gelcoat Finish: Because of mold maintence the bodies have a high gloss finish with straight panels and small seams.

Ribbed Floor: The floor is ribbed for those customers that want the underside to look as nice as the topside.

Defroster Plenum: This part used where applicable so our customers in certain climates can have the convenience of a nicely defrosted windshield.

Overhead Console: This console is used where applicable to help conceal the wiper motor assemblies and allow for easy overhead radio installation.

Doors Hung and Latched: Russ Nomore Streetrods does not sell bodies unassemblied. All of the doors and decklids are glued in precision Gluing Fixtures to guarantee fit time after time

Decklid Hung: The decklids are hung during construction to make sure the fit is just right.

Decklid Prop: This feature allows your decklid to lock in place when lifted.

Smooth Dash: The dash is smooth and filled and is removable for easy gauge installation as well as access to cowl area.

Steel Dash Bar: A steel dash bar is provided for easily attaching the steering column and other components. It is also integrated into the body as a constructional component.

Steel Reinforcement: Where applicable steel is integrated into the body to help reinforce such things as suicide doors, decklid hinges, cowl vent packages, etc... Steel is also embedded into the fiberglass parts for hinge placement.

Cowl Vent Package - $185

The rumble lid option will allow extra people to tag along on special events. It also adds a more original look to the car while still giving a certain amount of cargo space. Small overnight bags can easily be carried in the rumble seat area. An O.E.M. style seal and insert diverts water outside of the car so the upolstery stay nice and dry. The rumble lid is latched using a remote release handle which can be located inside the car. Seat belts can be added.

Rumble Lid Latch Package - $180: Package includes latch assembly, striker plate, 10' cable and housing, billet release handle, mounting brackets and a hardware package.
Rumble Seal - $20

This unique door design features a channeled pocket in the door jamb which accepts a removable door glass assembly. The assembly can be removed to allow for easy access to door parts as well as having an open area for painting. The channeled design greatly increases the rigidity of the door as well as adds a larger bonding surface. This design also reduces the amount of steel glass track used in the door so there are less items that have to line up with each other.

Hidden Hinges - Features laser cut and CNC bent parts designed with the correct geometry to allow a full 90 degree door opening. Hinges are fully adjustable for easy door alignment. Door pins are machined from 3/8" cold rolled steel for added strength. They utilize brass bushings for years of smooth, quiet and trouble free service.

Adjustable Positive Stop Package - $24.95
Added to our hidden hinge package to gain better control of door opening. Used in different environments (windy or hilly) where doors may accidently open beyond 90 degrees and come in contact with body.

Stock looking firewall can be adjusted during construction to allow more room for larger engines. This design allows for larger bonding surface around the perimeter. The lower foot area is also bonded to the floor. The interior of the firewall is also hand laid to the body interior. With these three features the firewall supports the entire front of the body.
